First of all we need to understand
what is the response time? Response time is if I am asking the name of my child . He/she is taking too much time to reply me. Response time is also called reaction time. The response time of your child must be as quick as possible.
I have many basic and traditional activities by which you can improve response time of your child.we need nothing special for these activities just sit on floor. So let's start:
1. Sticks catching
For the first activity you need 2 sticks . One is yours and other is for child. Both of us pick our sticks in our hand . What we will do is that when you will say ready steady go both of us leave our own sticks and catches the other one. Try to skip verbal prompt like just say go instead of ready steady go.....
2.Number claps
For this you need plates and number cards. First tell your child that if the plate is empty he/she will pass it with one hand don't clap over it. Now place the cards on plates. Leave some plates empty and ask your child to clap according to the numbers pass out the empty plate with one hand.It will improve concentration of your child.
3. Imitation
For this activity put your hands down on the floor and ask your child to follow you. Tap on the floor by count the numbers. Your child do the same. After some practice stop counting just do the action.
4.Glasses game

5.Cups and a cap
For this activity you need 3 cups and a cap. Put the cap under one cup infront of your child. Ask him to focus on the cap. Now switch around the cups and ask your child to tell you where the cap is now?. It is also for concentration.
6.unifix blocks
You need patterns that of different colors just needs to build it go ahead like you can take yellow blue yellow blue so this is a good activity because they're working with patterns with you know reasoning activity where they have to follow a particular.
but you can also start with just having them put the blocks just unite the blocks and that is good enough for toddlers but once they get past of being able to put the blocks together you can move on to patterns.
The great activity because they have to really focus on staying on track with the pattern it's also a great activity for fine motor development hand-eye coordination and hand strength for writing.
so anything that the child is doing for a long time any type of sit down work is going to work on that concentration.
let's move on to the next activity now
7.puzzles puzzles are a great activity to enhance focus and concentration as a child has to really focus on perseverance problem solving they have to really try the process of elimination to be able to figure out where the pieces go you want to start with small puzzles.12 piece, go on to 16 piece puzzles to 20 piece and so on as the child gets better so my three-year-old is working on currently the 12-piece puzzles but you want to start small these are great they also help with finger strength as the child is picking up and moving and twisting the pieces to fit them where they belong working on the hand eye coordination so puzzles are definitely a great activity to work on attention span and concentration this next activity is a visual attention folder and this has different find me activities.
focus and concentration is like a muscle the more that you practice it the better it becomes and this translates this goes on to academics and to other things that the child needs to be doing.
so you know you just correct the child it has to be facing the other way but you're doing very well.
let's see let's try.

it's just a great activity
it really doesn't matter what the child is doing as long as you're sitting down doing a focused activity i find that sorting is a great activity because it is a precursor to math so it really helps with a lot of mathematical concepts later on as they advance in math and it's great for visual discrimination.
all right let's move on to the next. 9. Memory recall This next activity i have these photo cards and so i'm laying three cards out we have juice ,pot and potato okay look at it very carefully okay i'm going to turn them over all right do you remember where the potato was where's potato? all right where is the pot?

Similarly your child will do that. It's like playing yaso, panjo, haar, kabooter, doli . Pakistani people can better understand it. It actually works on response time. When you play it then see how much quickly kids need to take their hands off from hitting. Their reaction time will get better .
